Full tank, cold coffee, and a mountain that looks like it was carved by somebody showing off. The road runs straight at it like it's got something to prove, white dashes ticking past, and the clouds cling to the peak like they're scared to let go. I've got nine hours behind me and eleven ahead, and I have never been more awake. People ask where I'm going. Nowhere in particular. That's the whole point. The hills are gold and rust, the sky is doing that impossible blue thing, and every curve reveals another angle on the snow. I stop every mile. I know. I'm insufferable on road trips. But look at it. Once I followed a road for six hours because of a photo I saw in a diner. Best day of that year. Gas stations at midnight taste like freedom and bad coffee. The poles along the shoulder lean like they're listening for traffic. Nobody comes. The mountain does all the talking. Tomorrow, somewhere else. Tonight, wherever this road ends. The clouds part once and the whole summit goes gold and I forget my own name for a second. Get up. Go. The map is a suggestion. #mountainroad #roadtrip #adventure #wanderlust
