Fog does something to attention. Everything far away disappears, so the near things get louder. This path goes straight into the white and stops, and the trees on both sides fade out one by one like they're being erased. Four lamps stand along it, glowing soft and round, each one lighting only its own small circle. A bird sits on the railing in the foreground, still, facing the emptiness. Not worried. Just here. I try to walk like this sometimes. One lamp at a time. Not the whole path. Not the destination. Just the next circle of light and the breath that gets you there. The fog swallows sound, so your footsteps come back to you softer than you expect. Everything is sepia and grey, warm and cold at once. Breathe in. The path will show itself. The trees are planted in perfect rows, going back into the haze, and each one gets lighter as it gets further away. The bird is small and grey, one leg tucked, utterly unbothered by the weather. The rail curves gently toward the water on the right. Nothing to solve here. Just fog and steps. #fog #mindfulness #path #breathe
