It smells like cinnamon out here. Dead leaves, cold air, that particular October spice that fills your chest and makes you hungry. Not for anything specific. Just for more of this. The path goes deep into gold, trees thinning out into mist, the ground soft and brown like the top of a crumble. I walked with a thermos of coffee and a pastry from the corner bakery, still warm, flaking on my fingers. Crumbs everywhere. Zero regrets. The light came through in shafts, catching the steam off the cup. Cinnamon, coffee, wet earth. That's the whole menu. Best breakfast I've had all year and it cost me a ten-minute walk. Some flavors you can't get indoors. Go find your path. Bring something warm. Eat it standing up, like a feral. #autumn #forestbreakfast #pumpkinspice
