Gray. Hundreds of them, maybe thousands, pressed together like a crowd on a platform. Every shape earned its place. No two the same. One pale, one almost blue, one with a stripe of rust across it like a scar. Somebody would call that damage. I call it a story. The light is flat and even, nothing showing off. Not today. I used to skip past stones. Now I look. Really look. Down at my feet, where the whole world is hiding in plain sight. Every one of these was carried here by water, one rain at a time. Ten thousand years of small efforts. That's how mountains become sand. Slow work. Patient work. The kind that outlasts everything loud. Nothing here is in a hurry, including me, for once. The phone stays in my pocket. The edge of the frame just stops. More stones beyond it. Always more stones. I like knowing that. The world keeps going without me and it's beautiful anyway. That's the whole picture. That's enough. Some pictures don't need more. Neither do some days. #pebbles #graystone #minimal
