Look at where the water meets the mountains. That line is razor sharp. The lake holds the whole range in it, flipped perfectly, and you have to look twice to find the seam. The peaks up top are brown and gold with snow only on the highest edges, and the clouds are stacked like cream, catching the late light. There's a bird low over the water, wings spread, and its shadow is somewhere below it if you look. The shoreline is a thin dark strip, almost a pencil line, and the grass in front is pale and dry, going yellow-green in the sun. Small details everywhere: a ripple here, a whitecap there, the way the light picks out one slope and leaves the next in shadow. The clouds repeat in the water, softened, smeared a little by the surface. Nature did the symmetry. We just got lucky with the light. The farthest ridge is hazy, layered in pale blue-grey, and the nearest one is dark and detailed, every gully visible. Depth you could fall into. One bird, mid-frame, small and perfect. The water near the shore turns clear, then green, then steel. #mountains #lake #reflection #details
