This is the hour I live for. The sun melting into the sea, the harbor going gold, and me at the end of a day I didn't plan. I came to this coast with a backpack and no return date. The fishing boats are coming in, or maybe going out, I honestly can't tell anymore. Birds cut across the sky like they've got somewhere urgent to be. I hope they do. The lighthouse stands there doing its one job, patient and boring and brave. I've been that lighthouse for other people too many times. Not this year. This year I'm the boat. Wi-Fi is a rumor here. My map is a scribble. Tomorrow I'll figure out where the road goes, or maybe I'll just follow the water until it runs out. Either way, I'm not asleep yet. The sky is still burning. #sunset #harborlife #wanderlust
