Little bear is asleep against a cushion, blowing a soft bubble of Z's, and the text above him says he wakes up once every nineteen hours. I laughed, then I got quiet, because same, buddy. The stripes behind him are soft green, calm as a hospital wall, and he is completely, gloriously done with the day. Eyes shut. Cheeks round. One little foot tucked. There's a lesson here somewhere about rest being productive too. We don't take it. We scroll instead, and call it a break, and wonder why we're tired. This bear knows. He put the phone down. He's breathing slow, one bubble at a time, and the world is fine without him for a while. Tonight, try it. Lights lower. Shoulders down. Let the breath get long and boring. Count the green stripes if you have to. The day will keep. The bear has the right idea. His cushion is pale green with a stitched edge, and there's a tiny blush on each cheek. Nothing in this picture is urgent. That's the whole point. Slow down. Match his pace. In four, hold, out four. Again. #sleep #rest #mindfulness #calm
