This looks like a bedtime story somebody painted. There's a beach with waves rolling in, soft and white at the tips, and the sand is warm reddish-brown, and up in the sky there are two big planets, one with a ring around it like a halo. The smaller one hides behind the bigger like it's shy. The sky is all orange and pink and gold, swirling like cotton candy that got mixed with sunset. Two little birds fly near the water, tiny specks of brave. I keep imagining a small creature standing right where the foam lands, looking up, not scared at all. Just curious. It's the kind of picture you'd whisper over. Everything is round and soft, even the waves look like they're hugging the shore. If I could nap inside a painting, I'd pick this one. Warm sand, quiet water, planets for a nightlight. The ringed planet glows warm at its edge, and the clouds in front of it turn pink where they pass.
