That sunrise hit the Matterhorn in the most unreal way.
Watching the peak slowly catch the first warm light, turning bright fiery orange against that soft lavender sky. It’s such a perfectly shaped mountain, sharp and dramatic, like something you’d only see on a postcard. But seeing it in person hits so much harder.
The snow lingers on its lower slopes, and the air up here is crisp and quiet. No rush, just the mountain standing still, as it has for thousands of years. I waited so long for this moment, and every second of it was worth it. These are the views that make you forget all the tired miles of hiking.
Nature really doesn’t need filters.
